As the innovation ecosystem continues to drive forward at a blistering pace, we want to create a space that brings like-minded people together. Through our events and podcasts, TeqDen embraces the future of technology by offering a creative outlet for new ideas and concepts that we hope will positively disrupt industries far and wide.
Technology continues to go beyond the walls of our expectations. We wanted to create a space that gave innovators within the start-up ecosystem a platform to share their ideas and a stage for everyone to help support these young and exciting companies. Bringing together entrepreneurs, investors and like-minded individuals with a genuine interest in all things tech, TeqDen aims to connect people who are united in their passion for innovation.
Our TeqDen events are a mix of pitches, questions and networking. 4-5 start-ups are given the platform to present their businesses to the audience and a panel of judges. After their presentations, the judges and audience have time to ask questions. A particularly valuable part of the event is the networking held after the end of the pitches. A lot of great opportunities have been forged at these events and they are often the birthplace of several investments. Our podcast, Inside the TeqDen, provides unfiltered insight into ‘the good, the bad and the ugly’ of entrepreneurship and founders’ experiences within the start-up/tech world.
In early 2017, Christopher Walkey, founder of Estate Agent Networking, launched the very first TeqDen event. In March 2018, LiFE Ventures, the then investment arm of leading London estate agents LiFE Residential and privately-owned London based developers City & Docklands & Galliard Homes acquired the event. LiFE Ventures and the group of entrepreneurs that sit behind it, who have invested in several tech start-ups such as KeyNest, Chip and goodlord, aim to build upon what Chris started using their industry connections and knowledge to amplify the event and fuel a positive impact on the wider ecosystem. Since 2018, there have been six TeqDen events across London and Tel-Aviv in various locations including at Google Campus, Fladgate LLP offices, WeWork Labs, CREtech (formerly Future: PropTech) and London Build Show.
In 2022, TeqDen is excited to announce it will be launching the Inside the TeqDen podcast hosted by Sina Sadrzadeh, an accomplished podcast host with his podcast The Millennial Entrepreneur and a founder in his own right. The podcast will further expand upon the value that TeqDen brings to the start-up community by providing unfiltered insight into ‘the good, the bad and the ugly’ of entrepreneurship and founders’ experiences within the start-up/tech world.
